Healthy Brain and Intuition Power

Improve Memory Performance and Brain Function

Whether it’s from aging, a change in hormones, being overloaded by tasks or related to other conditions many of us tend to notice times when our memory performance is not as strong as we would like it to be. Maybe you would like to be able to improve brain function in order to reduce further decline later, reduce the risk of Alzheimers or maybe you are now experiencing times where you are recognizing the need to improve memory performance.

Having and keeping a strong memory is a good for our emotional well-being, as having difficulties with our memory tends to increase our stress and frustration levels. To increase brain function, try these natural ways to improve memory performance.

Step 1 :

GET MORE OXYGEN TO THE BRAIN
Take a walk, or other cardio to increase blood flow which improves brain function for 30 minutes at least five days a week. Something that has really been helping me is to do stretches first thing in the morning while still sitting in bed, then sitting on the edge of the bed and lifting my knees to my chest several times, then immediately getting in some cardio or walking time for 15-20 minutes. Starting my day this way, immediately gets the blood circulating, lifts that morning brain fog feeling, lifts my mood, and boosts my energy for a great start with my day.

Exercise is a great way to get oxygen to the brain; while you’re exercising and even when you’re not exercising, watch your breathing patterns. Be sure to take full, deep breaths in that fill your abdomen to increase oxygen and blood flow that stimulates brain function. Also engage in meditation, Yoga, Tai chi or Qi gong breathing and movement exercises.

Step 2 :

REMEMBER IN ORDER TO IMPROVE MEMORY
The brain is like a muscle; if you don’t use it, it will weaken over time and decrease memory function. Exercise your brain by memorizing a new song, poem or passage.
Reconnect to past memories, people and events as the effort to remember these things will strengthen your memory performance.
Read often, do math, and do puzzles such as crosswords and sudoku, work with a rubik’s cube, and regular, 3-D and wood puzzles as a way to increase brain function and improve memory.
Take mental pictures of things such as where you set down your keys, eye glasses, park your car, etc. Another approach is to recite to yourself a reminder of the details surrounding these things to improve memory performance.

Keeping the brain healthy and Increasing Its Power

If  brain can function better and faster, it will. The healthy brain naturally seeks to operate as efficiently as possible if you expand brain capacity and connections, the brain will take advantage for new resources every time it faces a processing task. Since academic performance is dependant on cognitive skill function increasing the brain’s capabilities leads to improved the academic performance.

Researchers have been astounded at cases where portions of a patient’s brain were damaged or surgically removed following disease or stroke. Yet memories of the skills in the remaining part of the brain remained and could even be improved!1 With deliberate training, these individuals were able to retain or relearn skills in other parts of the brain. These cases show not only that knowledge can be transferred between parts of the brain, but that the remaining parts can be strengthened as well.

Application: LearningRx training primarily concentrates on increasing and strengthening brain function and efficiency. This leaves the secondary activity of academic tutoring to others if such help is still needed to catch up. By focusing on the foundation of a student’s capacity to learn, learning is ultimately (and quickly) enhanced for a lifetime.

Increase Brain Power – Progress
Big, fast changes are important
The brain has the potential to expand -- and do so quickly. Very few people have maximized their innate learning capacity, which is actually designed to grow. Good training simply takes advantage of these inherent qualities of the brain.

The brain recognizes big change as important change. When facing the call for big, fast changes, people may at first be apprehensive. But, when the big, fast changes happen, they are rewarded with pride and increased motivation. You can call it the “payoff for taking the risk.” The bigger the payoff, and the sooner it is realized, the greater a student’s willingness to go through the training procedures. Big, fast changes maximize the brain’s tendency to adapt to important information. They also maximize the student’s motivation and self-esteem.

Intuition Developing : How to Balance Your Mind & Heart

Here’s a question we received regarding our intuition training course that helps with developing intuition.

Peter Anderson provides insight into balancing heart and mind.

We hope you enjoy this Q&A session.

clara: I really need help with the “heart” aspect. My main challenge at the moment is identifying when I’m “in heart,” and knowing how to open up to my heart and its intelligence. I’ve read the six steps to intuition in your “Developing Your Intuition” eBook and have done it a few times, but I feel like I’m a bit off the planet when I do this; out of touch with reality.

Are there certain indicators that can let me know when I’m really coming from a heart space, as opposed to a head space or a “needy” space? My biggest challenge is to identify this so I can manifest what my heart really wants, not what I think I want in my head. I get so confused.

Peter: I love how you phrased, “…open up to my heart and its intelligence.” Entering altered states of consciousness and the subsequent shift in really will really help.

Love your “head.” It just wants to help. When you ask a question and your mind provides an answer, just thank that aspect of your being for its contribution. Mind is used to being the provider of answers.

Love all aspects of your being that seem to be “needy.” You have needs and wants and desires. Allow them to exist. Give them space to be. (Not space to run your life…space to be.)

My suggestion is to give yourself permission to play with learning to develop your intuition. See if you can play with temporarily setting aside the important questions in life, like what your heart truly wants. Instead, begin with play and keep things fun and light.

Act “As If” You Can

Learn to run through the first five “Developing Intuition” steps quickly:

Grounding
Centering & Releasing
Affirming
Aligning
Asking
Don’t worry about doing these steps perfectly. Just pretend that you can do them quickly. Act “as if” you can. After some practice doing the first five steps slowly, you’ll be able to do them in one slow, deep breath in…and out…

Then you can finish the sixth step of “receiving” as you once again breathe in…

Breathe in the answer. This is your receiving.

Here are some example areas of life where you can play:

When your phone rings, sense the energy and ask yourself who is calling. Your receiving (the sixth step) is what you guess as the answer. See if you can let go of having to get the “right” answer. Just enjoy noticing what you receive.
When you see an email message from someone, sense the energy of the message and ask what they’re writing about. Your receiving (again, the sixth step) is what you feel is the answer.

7 Ways To Use Your Intuition

Human beings come equipped with an intuitive sense. Many people ignore or reject the intuitive sense and their lives lack for the bounty it can provide.

Our world requires you to make decisions fast and you have little room for error. At the same time, you don't have many of the facts you need to decide as well as you would like. Yet, some people thrive while others flounder. Why ? In many cases, using your intuitive ability makes the difference in mastering the real world.

Intuitive ability comes with the human condition. As with mathematics, chess, golf or cooking, the more you use your intuitive talent, the more skill with it you develop. As with gravity, you can claim it doesn't exist but violate it at your peril.

In this Top 7 list, you will learn seven basic applications for intuitive capacity and two basic ways to approach the development and use of your intuitive ability.

1. Part I - Environmental Scan

In this part you will specifically define what you want. The act of specific definition will tune your senses to detect your targets easier and quicker:

Information. Examples: marketing ideas, process improvements, demographics of your target market, accounts payable, accounts receivable, threats to your business.

2. Customers. Examples: clusters of your target market, changing needs, different applications of your product or service.

Opportunities. Examples: franchising opportunities, new products to bring to market, new customer problems, investment vehicles.

Once identified, preferably in writing, you will notice your information, customers or opportunities in circumstances where in the past you would have missed them. Once you notice, make note and take action. You will find the information, customers and opportunities quite tailored to your needs.
